Real Estate Sales - Broker`s Open Works
Riviera Isles is a gated community in Miramar west of i-75, featuring a resort style clubhouse, with tennis courts, basketball courts, gym, lush landscaping thru-out the community. A real slice of paradise. We were getting plenty of showings, however we had not received any offers and the owners were gettting anxious. So after 4 weeks on the market we decided to do a "broker`s open."
We got on the phones, sent out emails to approximately 200 agents. We were offering lunch and decided to raffle a dinner for 2 at the Cheesecake Factory. Thankfully we had a terrific turnout with over 50 agents, from different brokerages, showing up. Monica and I took turns showing the house, the Realtors registered on the sign-in sheet, wrote thier impressions of the property, and enjoyed lunch. We then raffled off the dinner for two.
A week later a Realtor that had attended the broker`s open scheduled a showing for her buyer. They submitted an offer and the property has closed! VOILA! DONE DEAL!
As Realtors we have plenty of technology to reach out to buyers, sellers, fellow Realtors, but we still have plenty of traditional techniques that are time-proven and still work. Sometimes we just need to slow down and consider the options.
